Hillcrest Hearing Aids is located within the same office space as Ear, Nose and Throat Associates of Greater Dayton, LLC medical practice. A physician is usually available to assist us in providing whatever service may be necessary for your complete hearing health care.

Hearing Evaluation
A complete hearing evaluation is required by Federal and State law before you can be fitted for a hearing instrument. All hearing testing done through our office is performed by certified audiologists or licensed hearing instrument specialists. Hillcrest Hearing Aids is a Division of Ear, Nose and Throat Associates of Greater Dayton, LLC, which has three Board Certified physicians – Robert A. Goldenberg, MD; Atul N. Balwally, MD and William J.D. Turner, MD. Accurate test results are critical to the selection of the proper hearing instrument for your particular needs.

Latest Technology Available in Hearing Instruments
Our offices carry the latest technology available in conventional, programmable and digital hearing instruments. Once you are fitted with your hearing instrument, you will have a 30-day evaluation period to determine if you will be helped by amplification. If, at the end of this period, you are not completely satisfied, the hearing instrument may be returned.

Most Insurance Plans Accepted
Unfortunately, most health insurance plans do not cover the cost of hearing instruments. We will be happy to help you determine if you are eligible for benefits under your health care plan, and will file all appropriate claim forms for you.

Patient-Family Counseling
Hillcrest staff will provide in-depth instructions in the use and care of your hearing instrument. Living with a hearing impaired person can sometimes be a challenge. We encourage family members to come with the patient to their visit. Our staff can then assist family members with better ways of communicating with a hearing impaired person.

Communication Classes
Hillcrest offers a two day workshop entitled The Kooser Program: The Hidden Impact of Hearing Loss for all patients and their family members. All aspects of hearing loss are discussed. Cathy Kooser, a licensed Social Worker, who herself has a severe hearing loss, developed and facilitates the workshop.

Hard of Hearing Support Group
This Self Help for Hard of Hearing group chapter meets monthly on the first Saturday of each month at 10:00 am in our The Kooser Program: The Hidden Impact of Hearing Loss office in Centerville located at 476 Windsor Park Drive . Everyone is invited to come and learn about hearing health care issues and find support in the process. Bring a friend, spouse or family member. This group is facilitated by Cathy Kooser and Missy Rogers.

Repairs
We recommend routine hearing instrument servicing every six to eight months for as long as you own your hearing instrument. We are fully equipped to handle minor repairs in our office. We can also evaluate the performance of your hearing instrument with our state-of-the-art equipment. Insurance coverage is available for your hearing instrument which protects you against damage or loss of your aid.

Battery Club
As a convenience to our patients, Hillcrest has a Battery Club which allows you to order and receive batteries by mail on request.
